A message from the Principal

I'm excited to be the Principal for RMS/RHS this year. I am a native to small towns and Ranger ISD feels like home. I grew up in Santa Anna, Texas, attended Howard Payne University and Abilene Christian University. I've worked in the school system since 16 years old starting in the maintenance and janitorial department at Santa Anna ISD. I have teaching and coaching stops is Cross Plains, Comanche and, for the past six years, here in Ranger as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and Middle School principal. My wife, Jaci Ellerbe, is the Elementary Counselor here at Ranger ISD. I have three children that all attend/attended Ranger ISD: Madilyn (Senior@ ASU), Hallie (8th grade) and Jett (4th grade). My hobbies include lifting weights, reading, and watching movies. I will be starting my 7th year here at Ranger ISD and I'm proud to say that every day is a great day to be a Ranger Bulldog! I share the vision that "Ranger ISD will be a vibrant performing institution focused on student achievement and learning. We will attract and retain a diverse student population and effective teachers, leaders, and staff committed to excellence powered by a culture of optimism and accountability." My philosophy of education is as follows: "I believe that education is not a product to receive, but an ongoing and transforming process that does not start or stop at the front door of the school. Personal responsibility is the foundation for leading a fulfilling and productive life. All can learn, grow and improve their own circumstances with a good attitude, meaningful opportunities, time and varying levels of support." If you have any questions, thoughts or concerns don't hesitate to stop by, call or email. My door is always open! Sincerely, Jessie Ellerbe (254) 647-3216 jellerbe@ranger.esc14.net
